Morgan starred alongside other actors in the documentary film Safe Sex for Men and Women, which focuses on AIDS prevention and education. A portion of the profits went toward the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force behind numerous fund-raising efforts for the spread of the disease. She also addressed a Congressional special committee on AIDS education. Morgan is also a member of the Board of Directors for Amfar and the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop asked her to at times take his spot in AIDS activities. In addition, she hosted the AIDS Awareness Special alongside news anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell interviewed Morgan twice for Nightline on AIDS. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan co-starred on ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife during the spring season along with Joan Rivers. The summer began with Murder At The PTA Luncheon. The production, Von Zerneck/Sertner also featured Cindy Williams and Marla Gabbs. Her next film was Harmony Gold produced Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady together with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also a part of a psychological suspense drama created exclusively for USA Network. This thriller was a huge success and earned the top ever ratings for the channel.
